Import Schedule from a CSV File

Note: This function is only available to members with manager access.

This feature will allow you to import your team’s schedule from a CSV file (comma delimited).
By importing, you can add games (league, tournament, friendlies) or non-game events such as training, meetings, and others.

Import File Format

You can import a comma delimited CSV file, which is a text file that can be exported from any Microsoft Excel file or other spreadsheet.

The import file must include all these columns in this order:

  • Event Type (required)
Accepted Values:  “League,” “Tournament,” “Friendly,” “Other Game,” “Training,” “Meeting,” “Other Event.”
  • Event Name (required)
Enter the event name such as: League or Tournament name, “Practice,” “Parents Meeting,” or any other event name, such as “Team Party,” etc.
  • Date (required)
Enter the event’s date in this format: MM/DD/YYYY.
  • Time (required)
Enter the event’s time in this format: HH:MM AM/PM (example: 12:30PM).
If you don’t know the exact time, leave this field blank and TeamTracky will create the event with the time listed as TBA. Remember to update it later.
  • Duration Hours (optional)
Enter the event’s duration hours as a whole number (for example: 0,1).
  • Duration Minutes (optional)
Enter the event’s duration minutes as a whole number (for example: 0, 30, or 45).
  • Home Team (Required for Games Only)
Enter the name of the opponent team.
If you are the home team, enter your team’s name exactly as it is entered on TeamTracky.
  • Away Team (Required for Games Only)
Enter the name of the opponent team.
If you are the away team, enter your team’s name exactly as it is entered on TeamTracky.
  • Location Name (required)
Enter the name of the location where the event will take place.
Use a name that is easy for your members to find and is searchable on the web.
If you don’t know the location, leave this field blank and TeamTracky will create a location called “Unknown.”
Just remember to update it later on.
  • Location Address (optional)
In this field, enter the location’s full address. This field is very important because this is the address that users will use with their phone’s GPS.
  • Location Url (optional)
You can optionally enter a link to a Google or other map.
  • Notes (optional)
In this field you can enter any information you want to share with your members, such as field number, directions, etc.

Important Tips:

  • The CSV must be comma delimited.
  • A header row is required for all CSV uploads.
  • Headers must use letters, numbers, and underscore characters only
  • Date fields can be represented in the form: MM/DD/YYYY
